During the coerced statement made by the student movement coordinators, one of them managed to send a message using Morse Code, which translates to "Help the students."
Six coordinators of the quota protests, currently in custody for alleged "security reasons," have announced the cancellation of all protest programs in a video message from the DB headquarters on the evening of July 28. This statement has gained widespread attention on social media.
The coordinators involved are: Nahid Islam, Sarjis Alam, Hasnat Abdullah, Abu Baker Majumdar, Asif Mahmud, and Nusrat Tabassum. They were all detained by the DB on Saturday for purported 'security reasons'.
We stand in solidarity with these brave individuals who are standing up for their beliefs despite the risks.
