After 25 years of being a science & medical reporter, I still don't remember what The National Academy of Sciences wants to be called. Not that I don't think. Their website has it rendered as National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (The National Academies) but I think when referencing a specific report they prefer just a reference to that single academy, e.g. The National Academy of Medicine. But who frickin knows. I'll let my editor sort it out. [snort]
