I found this USA Today story debunking a recall notice on the Facebag: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2023/01/30/fact-check-false-claim-kitchenaid-recall-high-lead-levels/11128911002/\n\nBut the company does say it could have legally-acceptable amounts of lead and other impurities, so they put some coating on it... which of course won't last as long as the mixer or the blade/beater itself.\n\nAlways be suspicious of aluminum in the kitchen, is my takeaway.
