I STG we need an RFC that defines *simple* and standard data logging and querying APIs. The large majority of the gadgets and apps I have that have cloud components are doing basically the same goddamn thing and if there was a standard API set defined they could all be pointed at it'd be *so* much easier to have a generic "cloud data hoster" gadget I could actually *own* and host locally and not depend on an app/device creator paying their cloud bills.
