Today, I am thankful that my cousin gave us a power bank. It is powerful enough to start a car battery. 😵
They say Georgia will most likely flood (up to a foot of rain in two days) AND lose power.
I recommend that everyone get flashlights, battery-powered lanterns, batteries, a power bank, etc. before you need it, because chances are, some big event will eventually affect you, too.
Spare us a thought or two, because we are a densely forested state. We have heavy rain today, unrelated to the hurricane, which will fully saturate the ground ahead of Helene. Those tropical storm-force winds are going to bring down a ton of trees and/or high branches.
