🔬 🇭🇺 Katalin Karikó won the Nobel Prize in Medicine. Her discovery helped EU grantee Ugur Sahin and Adrian Hill develop one of the first COVID-19 vaccines.

Since 2002, the EU has funded at least 29 Nobel Prize winners.
