I think my main take is it should be possible to respect your LGTBQ / racial minority members + enforce basic decency while short circuiting communities trending towards becoming a generic left/right blob (r/agedlikemilk , r/memesopdidnotlike, unions releasing statements on Israel/Palestine, etc)
I believe once you allow a certain level of politics the above becomes inevitable.
