Not long ago it would’ve been unthinkable to consider a democratic nation might once again succumb to totalitarian rule. But #Russia’s invasion of #Ukraine, #Afghanistan abandonment to the #Taliban, and #HongKong’s freedom’s dismantlement by #China shows we cannot afford to be naive about #Taiwan.
Fundamentally we all carry great responsibility for enabling those regimes.
