so the way I look at disaster planning is that individuals can only prep for maybe two concurrent predictable disasters, and we’re helpless in the face of life’s major plot twists. Big corporations (should!) have risk management systems that can plan for more catastrophes at once, but when you’re just one person and a critical part goes out, ahhh well. That’s the thing that the billionaires don’t remember when they’re making their bunker plans - we really, deeply need other people and their systems.
