Excited to post great math education content here.
I find that young students with a strong foundation in K-5 math perform extremely well in later grades, however students with struggles in any fundamental area, really struggle in later grades.
We fix this with the DMT Framework, focus on structural language, effectively use models, and prioritize conceptual learning while connecting math lessons to real life students know.
