"content": "I would guess that it is probably a driver thing. As in custom roms break apart the official roms once available and extract the drivers needed to run that device. Things like drivers can be kernel sensitive and may not work properly on different kernels.\n\nI know graphene os definitely does this, where they include a lot of the proprietary blobs in the official rom needed for pixel specific functionality.",
