I think using 6-10 relays for writing makes this strategy so ineffective as to be worthless at the relay, except for obeying local laws for illegal content. There's not much that a single client app or relay can do to influence the reach of a single topic or account, broadly. Even if a client/relay becomes dominant, the use of other more micro/local/community relays in addition to that central app makes this a non-issues for users who take control.

Censorship won't be done for the effect it has on the users, but for the relay to avoid liability. While users may be ignorant and not understand they're getting a corrupted view, they're in control. Correct use of relays spanning jurisdictions and ideologies prevents this before it begins.
