I'd suggest that both shows are bad for society (or at least, *indicative of an unhealthy society*) in different ways, and I'd add that 'platforming women' isn't an excuse for doing so. As a woman, I'd rather women were platformed in ways that are constructive and valid, rather than AT ALL COSTS FOR RATINGS AND MEMES!
I don't regard The View any more or less highly than American Idol, is all I'm saying, I suppose.
