No calls for cool heads please.
Peaceful protesters in Genoa against the G8 were met by torture and illegal imprisonment.
More recently, peaceful pro Palestine protests have been met by disproportionate police charges.
In both cases, The Economist wasn't vocal enough in condemning violence.
Then a bunch of fascist hooligans destroy private property, take over the street and call for overthrowing democracy and racial violence and you call for "cool heads"? F*ck them, seriously.
Are they victims of disinformation who believe whatever garbage they read on social media? Do they believe that a murderer was an illegal immigrant who recently crossed the Channel when he was actually born in Britain? So? Am I supposed to feel sorry for them for not informing properly and feeding on social media garbage, just waiting for a piece of news to unleash their worst reactionary urges?
Are they angry for the poor economic state of their country compared to 10 years ago? So? Who voted for Brexit and plunged their own country into this miserable state - again, after listening to conservative lies spread mainly on social media?
No more sympathy for people who are simply unfit to live in this century and want to impose their ultra-conservative ignorance onto others with violence.
Show no mercy to this scum. Beat them up and let them rot in a jail - starting from the scum that stirs violence by spreading disinformation online: those should be called accountable and treated just like we would treat terrorists. Why would you treat Islamic State terrorists any differently from fascist terrorists? Just because the latter are mostly white and Christian? Time to make fascists afraid again.
