A friend in Tampa said the wind has been bad but the storm surge is their biggest problem.
He has parked his vehicle on "high Ground" and lives on the second floor of a two-story building. The river has gone above its banks and brought water up to nearly flooding the first floor apartment.
Having been introduced to my first hurricaine as an infant when the wind blew me out of my mothers arms - I apy attention.
