Something I don't see talked about regarding how to be a good pet owner:
Give your pet time to think when you're talking to them and interacting with them!
Give them a few beats! Don't rush them. Let their lil brains think about what is happening, decide what they want to do, and give them space to respond.
If you just keep saying things at them in quick succession, they can get overwhelmed and confused and that breaks trust.
Same can apply for human beings btw 💖
