Robots are further out IMO. Robots now can barely tie shoes.
And like a lot of things with SW, people underestimate how slow anything in "meatspace" takes to reach scale.
Even AI is starting to hit a wall as it's massive energy and datacenter needs start to compete with other energy and land uses.
