At 10pm in #Asheville #NC tonight, we've just hit 9" of rain for this event, which is almost unbelievable. The hurricane #Helene is just beginning to push on shore, so there will be much more rain (and winds) to come over the next day or so.

Also, since these are mountains, the rivers will take time to crest, as all that water needs to run downhill. Scary times, hope everyone is staying safe somewhere.
