The Aussies have a great political term: “white-anting” - referring to termites and the way they undermine a building from within, hidden from view.
Feels like there are several Wellington City Councillors who are experts in the form, and have been for years. Really bothers me that the discourse is focusing on the mayor, who I feel is trying to be constructive and positive, rather than the more shadowy actors (often bitter failed mayoral candidates) in this whole farrago.
