How about another joke Murray?
Real schizo post inbound:
Here’s what I would do given the situation. First off, it’s your show as the designer. Don’t let anyone bully you into what they think should happen. You will be able to do more with less at this point. Get the scissors get cutting. Cut the led step lights, probably cut the festoons because there’s a real risk of those getting hung poorly. Same with the par bar. Given more time, the latter two could maybe get worked in? There’s no one on-site there tho I would feel confident hanging it. I’ve seen some of the shit that’s been let fly in the past, it’s not gonna be fun.
Main priorities being get the smartest guy you know with a computer and get him watching ETC EOS for element videos asap. The focus should stay to starting merging/starting a new show file, patch, channels, building a cue, recording, timing, and color palettes. I would also avoid using the moving lights. Too complicated + there’s the risk of them being lamped on overnight by accident which could damage them.
The catwalks and the overhead electrics should be the main priority. Getting those to a reusable state is what’s gonna get this show happening. There’s two routes one could take. Readdress all the fixtures to what Alice had by opening the last show file in the list (for Alice), or repatch the new show to be reflective of what the address numbers are on the lights. Think 45 degree even washes for face light, cool/warm color combos. Shutter off the walls, the edge of the stage etc. Adjust the barrel so the beam is sharp with a hard edge, then you can fuzz it or add frost to make the wash more even. It’s the same with “holidays” when painting.
Basically the same with the overheads. Think even washes, divide the stage into acting areas and try to hit it with a top light from above. Side light for sure for pattern washes, nice and evenly spread out. I would be super careful with the hanging on the electrics. Take it slow so someone doesn’t get hurt.
Remember when it was suggested the bridge get lifted overhead? That’s the skill level “leading” this right now, so I would remain wholly skeptical of anything that sounds whack. Don’t be bullied. There’s more resources in bound for manuals/videos I believe.
Remember these four steps, address the fixtures and get control of them. Hang and Focus them for an even wash. Try to get someone up to speed asap on how to program the console (patching, building a cue, recording). From there it’s gonna be just building the looks that you like.

I hate this place. Nothing works here. I’ve been here for seven years. The medications don’t work.
