And people are conflating probability with intelligence or thinking. There's a probability you're being lied to, and I've had AI systems admit that when called out. They just made it up to give me an answer. Applying that to medicine or safety-critical software scares the fuck out of me. More scary is the lack of fear in many others. They don't get it.
