Hmm. This is one of those things where user experience and what you want the tech to be don't align well.

One thing most forms of digital identity suck at is official memberships. Email is the worst offender. You get a domain scoped identity that is locked to an org. When you leave you lose your identity. Twitter's corporate badges are a bit better, but they don't really do anything and it'd be a mess to have more than one role with one org.

The solution is to be able to multi-sign events either by making a scoped request from the corporate server or to get a signed key to use for official communication.

In the case of theforest when a customer signs up for services you can issue them a cert that they can use to cosign all requests to relays that theforest has contracted with.

Those can be set to expire at the end of every billing period.
