Additionally, I want all platforms to be open and allow curiosity and critique of the status quo. This means I want anyone to be able to join in, so everyone can learn and improve together.
The problem is that some people don't want to learn and improve, they just want to be victims. Trying to get these people to shed their imaginary shackles, however, makes them even more vile. They will do everything in their power to ruin your life, get you fired, make sure you can't afford to have a home, make false rape claims, whatever it takes to hurt you. They will do this if you try to actually deal with them.
The best means of "dealing" with them is to ensure they think they have taken something from you and are parading it in your face. That's what #Twitter was. There seems to be no other way of dealing with them that doesn't involve excessive suffering to innocent people and yourself.
