"content": "I don't disagree from a math viewpoint.= I am familiar with voting systems as well - and election psychology. There is an element of uncertainty where voter engagement or apathy - either can have as much of a role as numbers. \n\nIn your example, the 2 abstentions could vote for one or the other with the results you indicate. Elections are - in a way - also a case of optimism that attendance of those on your side will outperform that of the other.",
