VW was barely moving any Passats in North America. They dropped it for the much less efficient Atlas, and sales soared.

They likewise dropped the regular Golf for the Taos.

The only traditional cars they still offer are the Jetta and GTI. Everything else in their lineup is an SUV/CUV.

Ford only offers the Mustang, while GM is down to the Malibu and Corvette, dropping even the Camaro.

The old Chrysler brands are down to vans, pickups and SUVs, as the Charger/300 and Challenger have been dropped.

The Japanese brands have resolutely held on to their sedans and hatches, but we'll see how long they hold out.
