Another wet and misty morning on Ilkley Moor, so here's images from recent walks in better weather. Four of the many sites recording the long, rich human history of the moor. The memorial stone marks the site of a WWII plane crash. The puzzling 'cup and ring' stone takes us back to the Bronze Age, Puddle to the very recent past. The moor is crossed by several paths of reclaimed gritstone floors from converted Victorian mills, some still bearing the bolts and brackets that anchored machinery.
