Thinking about things this morning I realised that I’m not actually scared of what Tories or Labour might do down the rabbit hole that Gender Criticals dug for them (except to the extent that operating the levers of power when ignorant and inept can produce carnage all the same). No. My most powerful emotion is utter sadness at how politics and what passes for political discourse has slithered down to this level of crassness. Don’t we all deserve better?
