There’s no reason for its Rotten Tomatoes score to be so low. It may not have satisfied fans of the game (I know nothing about it), but as a “normie” it was as entertaining as any other kinda dumb CG, action-fest movie. I’d put it on par with later Fast and Furious movies in the series.

Again, I think the worst recent movie I’ve seen in The Beekeeper, and somehow its Rotten Tomatoes score is high 70s. I’m gobsmacked.
