I've developed a new theory...I'm calling it the "Humans Can Drive" theory. When left to their own devices, humans tend to make decent decisions, even when driving a 4,000-pound vehicle at 70 mph we somehow typically arrive in one piece. We are driving... like our lives depend on it.

This theory suggests that governments shouldn't get bigger than the driving example. Quality roads and a few prompts to navigate potential dangers are all that's needed. Anything more disrupts our natural incentives and leads to unintended, dysfunctional consequences.

Let's give us humans some credit and trust each other to make the right decisions. The next time you're on the road, just remember - humans can drive! And if we can do that, we can surely handle other decisions in life too.
