It's not a bad episode, this was my favorite take on the character designs so far (I missed the supervisor credit so Idk if it's someone new) and Majin Doo was funny. It seems he takes after the fat Boo moreso than the pure one, which makes sense, that's the essence he was created from. Funny joke but this means he's obviously not going to be the final boss, so I'm interested in seeing what happens.
The direction was just not there this week though. Strange music placement. The board was alright but not executed in a particularly interesting way. I saw Neva not really being senile from a mile away but I'm still not that interested in anything going on with him.
Animation with unusually unpolished for this show. Some good stuff around the end but for the most part, nothing moves, and there's bad CGI at one point.
Next week is going to be a big episode so I wouldn't be surprised if the direction for this one was outsourced, just like episode 7.
Disappointing, but not terrible. The show has been on a streak of good episodes after a ROUGH start so one lul isn't too bad. This was still much better than anything in the first half dozen episodes.
