Just like how I yield to logging trucks or other large moving things bigger than me like trains; because they will have a hard time slowing down and will kill me if I don't yield. I've had the same mentality on motorcycles. Heads on a swivel, and I get out of people's way. Laws and principles don't matter on the road, only physics matter. I'm astounded how bicyclists
