I have tried to make a list of criteria I use to select a #Linux distribution:
- automatic updates
- disk encryption with manual partitioning
- disk encryption without LVM
- fixed release (predictable breaking changes)
- graphical notification about a new release
- graphical upgrade to a new release
- OEM installer (to preinstall Linux on used computers before selling)
- remote disk decryption
- update exception for Flatpak
- update exception for Podman
- verified boot (Secure Boot)
