Something that I wish more people understood about the uprising that started in my own damned neighborhood after the murder of George Floyd
(and I am saying this slowly, so please read slowly)
is that it was the Minneapolis police — very specifically the police — who turned the situation into a nightmarish war zone,
and this was a •conscious choice• on their part. They wanted Minneapolis to pay. “You discipline us, look what happens.”
