Some have said the late 1800s to early 1900s was when Western civilization reached it's cultural apex and that we have been in decline ever since.
Just look at old photos of people out in public all dressed up in hats and suits and dresses vs. the pajamas and yoga pants and sweats, etc. that people wear when they go out today.
