Makes you realize that the time allowed for intelligent life to evolve is actually pretty short (assuming ~4B years between genesis and intelligent life). Probably the reason we haven’t made contact yet - the window is very short. The best chances for contacting intelligent life will probably involve looking for civs that have transcended to Kardashev II+.
