I am the sysadmin that the developers hate. I’ve read the countless tales of developers being frustrated due to lack of wheel and so on but as a developer it makes a lot of sense. I mean I hated cleaning up after all the redistributables and the build time dependencies, enforcing an ephemeral build environment as a sysadmin will be gritty to devs not used to it but once they are it’s not actually that limiting or bad.
