He wasn't much for talking.
Every Wednesday we'd go do our grocery shopping and he'd be in the cheese section working away. Tall, impossibly thin with a buzz cut.
He was shy but he'd make the effort to respond to my greeting. Sometimes it was just a nervous nod. Over the last couple of years he learned our names and even teased me a little as we moved through his section.
Hadn't seen him these last weeks. His co-worker told us today he's in hospice care for cancer.
We miss you Brion. 😢
