also, this whole nukes thing. there is no such thing as nuclear fission chain reactions. the plutonium is more likely to boil into vapor than enough protons hit each other to deliver a gigantic flash of alpha/beta/gamma and energy particles. it's literally like snipers hitting a target at 2 miles distance every time. it's infinitesimally probable. ie, basically impossible, like cracking a 256 bit pubkey to get the secret key, and that's only 128 bits. achieving this with nuclear fission is probably far more improbable.

so, every time you see "nuclear threat" this is just a dogwhistle to get the voters to approve of the violence.
