That would certainly be more convenient in cases where the parties have already deposited funds into a multisig wallet, and your job is just to settle the dispute that comes afterward.
It's also very useful in a "eBay" scenario. You can sell an item and ship the item after the multisig payment, knowing the funds are secure. Then in 99% of cases the buyer just releases the funds after they get the item, but it allows for a third party mediator like eBay/PayPal to resolve disputes if they arise.
