Last year I collected the most bountiful harvest of plums from two roadside trees growing on council-owned land. The old trees had been badly damaged when adjacent householder had works done, but still they fruited & had beautiful blossom. I didn’t see any fruit this year & this morning saw that the trees had been felled 😢.
Whether last year’s glut was a last hurrah or this year was just an off year I’ll never know. I did find a handful of fruit on the ground so picked up a couple. Cont…
