51 years ago this week, I saw my first @GratefulDead show at Watkins Glen. The previous day, the Dead played a gorgeous suite of totally improvised music as a soundcheck. When I grew up, I put this glorious music on their box set "So Many Roads (1965-1995)." It's one of the things I'm happiest about in my career as a fan.
