super stoked rn
did the big walk to a CTT that was open this afternoon for me to pay my customs fee to release my package from being destroyed tomorrow, nearest by foot was Ponta Delgada
finally got there, after a big walk
oh yes, i have a series of photographs to show from my trek:
in chronological order
a bunch of sheeps with lambs that i snapped on my way back from not having the code the lady at the CTT in sao vicente needed for me to pay the extortion fee:
the dark tunnel, one of the older ones, not covered in nasty concrete, and leaking everywhere around the entry and exit:
this is about 1/3 of the way between sao vicente and ponta delgada
ok, so next, the awesome reason why there was no cars to bug me as i trudged along the road:
first a fallen bridge:
then, a little further ahead, half the road fell down:
eventually i got to a spot where i had the option of following the car path or veering off to the right for some walking on foot:
there there was some nasty dogs that could have jumped down to fight me but instead just stood there dumb as toast 1m above me in their yard yapping
after that, the approach to the end of the foot/horse road:
to the left was this awesome, sadly fallen down old vinery:
and then directly across the road where the car roads start again, this cute little antiquariat:
it was quite the diversion but idk what to say about a post office that is only open in the morning... the bulgarian expression еби си майката springs to mind
but i got the job done, and now i will not miss another failed-to-declare shipment ever, at least until the end of the world or proper WW3 that cuts off all sea and air transport to the island, which i look forward to, to watch all the fatass lazy bastards living off corruption and tourism discovering they have to actually lift their legs up once in a while.
