plushies that hold something in their hand kinda suck and are a complete misconception of what a plushie is supposed to be. that's why they're supposed to be flexible to move their limbs
for it to feel alive, it needs to be a puppet that can be put into many different situations, if it's "hardcoded" to just hold a specific thing it's just a static, lifeless statue, something to put on your shelf and look at instead of living through adventures with it
