In my senior year of high school (1995), a female friend of mine got on the bus after a good day and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
Fast forward a few days, and we’d both received death threats and harassment for being “tri-sexuals” (men, women, and animals, apparently).
Fast forward to the end of the school year, and a huge proportion of my graduating class came out as gay or bi. Including some of the most vocal harassers.
