Another #TeXLaTeX question:

I've written a simple new command that adds small symbols into the text with the assistance of the \includegraphics command. It mostly works.

However, there is a small empty space before the symbol and none afterwards. And I can't figure this out and cannot eliminate it. I _don't_ think the source images are the problem - they are PDF files which do not have any "borders" around the actual image.
