Try something. Set a timer for five or ten minutes when you take him out to whizz. Stay out for the full time, even if the whizzing is finished before the time is up. Doggo is prob holding on to extend his outside time and could feel punished by being brought straight in after doing business. Maybe nicer for your dog. Less stress.
