I cut wood with it, for taking down bigger trees I had a friend that was a professional. The electric one was far more easy to handle than a gas one. Still have to sharpen the chain tho 😀 Furthermore, carpenters sometimes uses electric ones for indoor job.
One more thing, if cutting a branch one should make a smaller cut on the underside of the branch first. To avoid splicing.
