Well said! It's unfortunate, but we are a walking contradiction. But no matter the circumstances, when two people meet and feel comfortable or save with each other, it's the beginning of something good.
Our attempts to alter societal norms often seem foolish at first, which can leave both sides feeling confused and anxious. While certain aspects definitely need to evolve, I feel that one traditional element will always remain: men /the masculine typically takes the lead in seeking to know women/the feminine better. Like you said, my experiences also told me that this is the most natural way.
