Last year I was kicked off mastodon dot social for expressing pro-Palestinian views. The moderators made it impossible for me to download my curated content or move it to another instance.
After 3 years in this “ecosystem” I’ve found that the true believers here tend to downplay the pitfalls of Masto moderation. I’ll continue to take my chances with algorithms on other platforms because I don’t find instance moderation much better.
