When I read “deadmau5 has never been passionate about the music he makes,” I had to go listen to the interview.
In it, deadmau5 says he is not a fan of electronic music, but (at 15:06) he loves the process of making it, the technical challenges, the sonic development.
I once designed interfaces for a women’s lingerie company. It was a fun project with a great team and really interesting challenges. I had passion for the process even though I wasn’t the demographic.
